The purpose of the Shuswap Music Festival is to provide an opportunity for amateur and/ or young performing artists to demonstrate their achievements in music to their peers and to the community.
In addition, the Festival provides the opportunity for constructive and professional evaluations of young artist's performances.
The Festival is produced by a not-for-profit society managed by a volunteer board of directors.
Dear Music Enthusiasts!
Welcome to the 2013 Shuswap Music Festival, now in its thirteenth year. Last year we had the pleasure of working with close to 700 solo and group entries and we look forward to yet another successful year.
We have chosen top adjudicators from across Western Canada who are known for providing the participants with valuable directions and instructions.
The Shuswap Music Festival is open to non-professional musicians from the Southern Interior of British Columbia. This year we include Piano, Strings and Orchestras, Voice and Choirs. Our goal is to provide the best possible festival experiences for all participants.
Thanks to the support of local organizations and businesses and the tremendous work of a great number of volunteers, we are confident that we will be able to meet our goals.
This is the sixth year that we invite you to register via a dedicated internet site. Again we have made improvements and we are confident that it will make the registration process less complicated, easier and much faster. We hope you will enjoy this improvement.
We have also improved the payment process and added Paypal as the method of payment.
We look forward to your participation and thank you for helping to make the Shuswap Music Festival an outstanding success!
